Yeah, disabling this has given me a HUGE performance boost. Like, 28-30 fps. This should be listed somewhere as a fix for people who are still having fps/input issues as this seems to be a pretty big issue.
The only reason I can see people having FPS issues is there systems are't powerful enough to run at the setting they have the game set to. Turn them down if you are having issues... I have everything maxed out (including res upscalling) and I am getting over 90 FPS no issues. The lowest i've had is 67 FPS... Blame you're rigs not the game.

100% not true, AC games have a bit of a history for being unoptimized on pc. Also as I had stated above disabling fullscreen optimatiation gave me a massive bump in performance, so it's not just peoples rigs. I play plenty of games that look a lot better than odyssey with zero issues.

First off, I know and secondly, What game looks better than ACO maxed out in 4k? I'll go with as good, but not better.

Ok, gotta give me some time to get that far... But, I will upload a screen shot with FPS

Yeah you probably misread the part about the delidded 8700k @ 5.0 GHz under full monoblock and 1kw rad surface area with 60C load temps. Hint, it aint thermal throttling and that CPU is as fast, if not faster, than a 9900k considering the latter runs about 20C hotter because of it's overly thick die and this game, as with most, cares primarily about core freq and not core count beyond 4 cores:

Look for my comment there where I post my benchmark with the same mins and overall average.

Yes, 8700k + 1080 Ti with same mins and avg. as 9900k + 2080 Ti.

This game is horribly unoptimized.

Did you also miss the part where I state that my FPS went from 45 to 63 flying Icaros over Athens loading a save without Special K, exiting the game, enabling Special K, reloading game and save and flying towards the same waypoint? 20 FPS difference. Same time of day, same exact location. Would you like me to create a video? I am at 85-90% GPU utilization here, indicating 15% left on the table because of the CPU bottleneck WITH Special K running. Without it's like 60% GPU load, it's absolutely laughable and it is WORSE than Batman: Arkham Knight in terms of porting.

I've referred to all of the optimization guides, primarily Hardware Unboxed, and I have all of the offending setting turned down. Volumetric Clouds, only at High, SSAO, only at High:

So basically I have the fastest CPU you can use, with the most ideal conditions, and your answer is:

I'll make you a deal, go to Athens and fly Icaros over it in the daytime and post a vid with your rig. I will then go there and post a vid with my rig, with and without Special K, deal?

In the meantime, here's my benchmark, go ahead and post yours Mr. "67 FPS everywhere it must be your hardware" Drivel:

That's without Special K.
And honestly i didn't care enough to read you're post. I just took a look at the OP and put in my two cents. No reason to get all butt hurt...

Windows needs to step the f*ck back from gaming bloatware and just let us gamers do our own thing. I cannot believe they haven't given users of Windows 10 pro an option to turn this sh*t off! It's literally a busted broken feature that was not tested and crammed into windows 10 and never taken out after so many updates. It literally NEVER WORKS! It hurts performance on every single game I've tried with it on and off.

Windows devs... if you're reading this...

FUC&ING STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately fullscreen optimization nor SpecialK made any difference for me.
i7 4770k 4.3ghz and RX590 and neither of them is getting full utilization in this game.
Fps is terrible 40-50 even in lowest settings, this has to be the worst pc port i have played in a while.

I have heard that Ubisoft's AC engine is terribly optimized but i didn't expect it to be this bad.
