Are people seeing my screenshots?

None of my screenshots are getting any <3's and I don't think they're trash :( All the other screenshots I see on the map have several likes, so why aren't mine getting any? Are people not seeing them?

I noticed that too. Many of my Origins' screenshots have +50 likes, but not even a single one of the photos I took in Odyssey have 1 like. I think there's something wrong here, like my photos don't even show up in other people's maps.

I ain't gonna lie, I'm definitely one of those who turn off the photos overlay first thing after opening the map.

If you're really losing sleep over those upvotes or likes or whatever, suggest you try posting on Reddit.

The pictures people post that get 50-100+ likes are usually really bad. I don't get it. The ones in my library that i have even posted myself are way better imo than theirs. I just figure it's bugged and leave it at that.

I "like" every screen with 0 votes I see to appreciate effort people put in them.

It makes our society better + it boost my god complex because it's actually useful (unlike those stupid climate change protests in style of 80s ozone hole "catastrophe").

I did noticed that a few of my photos in Megaris got liked, but none in Kefalonia. Is it just that so many people are taking screenshots in the early areas that not all of them can be shown?

I'll explain a few questions here so everyone knows what happens and doesn't feel bad about not getting likes.

How the Photo Mode system works

The Photo Mode system has an internal clock which every day resets at a certain time, depending on the country you live in. For me it is 2AM I believe. That means if I take a photo at 1AM, it will only be shown on the map for 1 hour only, because at 2AM the system does the daily reset and then new daily photos are shown instead while the photos from the previous day are removed.

Photos are not shown for 24 hours after their submission. They are shown for the remainder of the time left until the new daily reset occurs.

Why are my photos not getting likes?

Pretty much they are overlooked by thousands of other photos submitted each day.

If you wish to get exposure and a lot of likes for your photos, then the best way to do so is to take your photos EXACTLY when the daily clock resets. If you submit a photo a few seconds after the reset, even 1 vote will put your photo onto the "TRENDING" page and a lot of people will notice your photo.

It has nothing to do with WHERE you took your shot, but WHEN you took your shot. It also depends on whether your shoots are beautiful to look at.

Personal experience

You will notice at my GALLERY[assassinscreed.ubisoft.com].

Some of my shots have a lot of likes, some have 0. That is because the shots that have a lot of likes were submitted exactly after the daily timer reset. Shots that have 0 have been submitted later during the day which by then are overlooked by thousands and thousands of photos, because they have no chance to get to the trending page.

The whole point is, if you wish for photos to be recognized, you have to make it onto the "TRENDING" page by submitting your shots early after the daily reset.

I am in Stockholm timezone, so CEST (Central European Summer Time). CET when it's not summer ^^

The daily reset varies for everyone depending on which country they live in ^^

Weird, I thought the ONLY way to see them was to be friends with someone on Uplay, and not just on Steam. Back when this issue first got questioned for Origins, it was explained that only your Uplay friends could see them. We all joined up on Uplay, and suddenly we were seeing each others' pics and we could then like them and the hearts went way up. Thought it was the same for Odyssey, but maybe that got changed...
