Stuck on Caldera of Fate

I've found the chest where you get a tablet that explains about the mirrors that need to be re-positioned so that you can find a doorway. However after I pick up the tablet I'm supposed to see a beam of light that shows the way to the next mirror, but there is no beam of light. I'm standing right next to the chest where I've found the tablet and I can see a mirror in the distance on a building but there is no beam, so I'm stuck. Any ideas or help. All the walk throughs I've watched show a beam that you are supposed to follow but there is nothing.
