Best way to get Fate points - Noob Help Needed
I did the tuitorial last night and got around 76-86 fate points to spend after (ballparked, lil too much wine). I did a fresh start today using them to unlock a bunch of cool perks. I got to Sector 2, felt like a LOT of work and died on my second warp jump lol Game ended and now I have 7..

Do I redo the tutorial now to get another 76-86 fate points or do I suck it up and go out with only 7?? Do you get fate points for re-doing the tutorial even? I mean.. game felt pretty hard with all the perks I unlocked. I don't see me doing well AT ALL with only 7.. LOL Am I missing something? Maybe the Rat ship I unlocked is OP and I won't need them? No but seriously, do better ships make up for the lack of fate points? Deets please! ;D

Thanks in advance for your insight and bestowed wisdom. Cheers.

EDIT: Ok so I got 7 fate from my last run and +31 for completing sector 1.. I have 38 not 7. Still though, would like double that LOL.. But 38 is WAY better than 7 though. I just didn't make a new run to find out. My apologies.

Just keep pushing the main game. There's a sharp growth curve at first, until you get your first three or four ships and some perks. But you unlock those by playing the main game, so I think you should stick with that.

After you've gotten a few perks, you'll start seeing stuff like "get more fate for this and every future run." that you can buy once and have forever. Once you've gotten a few of those, the difficulty tappers off a bit, and soon you'll have more fate than you can spend. First two or three playthroughs are definately a slog though.

Thanks for this, definitely gives me the inspiration I needed. Felt like maybe I was playing the game completely wrong there for a bit, won't lie. Really appreciate you taking the time to give me some solid pointers!

I just realized I have 1 more question, how do you unlock sector perks? I remember when I went from sector 1 to sector 2 earlier today, it said I found 0/10 sector perks. I think I only missed 1 star system in the sector and explored just about everything inside of them EXCEPT for planets that had massive fleets or powerful fleets on them. Are they tied to highly risky scenarios like fighting overpowered fleets or just floating in the blackness of space for you to randomly stumble on? Quite curious how you find them for sure.

Thanks again. Take care.

finish a sector with different ships, brings a lot of them. still not sure if that is true for all perks, but in some sectors its just that. hf

words of devs (from other recent thread): you get either fate points bonus or one of sector perk unlocked each time you pass this sector after its ship was already unlocked. So first completion unlocks the ship, then each one can either award perk or bonus fate points randomly

I think that changed in the most recent hotfix. I went through a few sectors several times without ever getting a perk, and now i get a perk every time i go through it.

Some people say you need to complete the sector with each ship to get each perk, but that's not been my experience.
