Scroll/Mouse Lag

Hi all, just downloaded the game, and wanna jump right in, but the cursor response is VERY SLOW, like a full second off. I went on the Matrix Games discussion board to see how I can fix it.I reduced shadows and unclicked ground clutter, but it didn't help. I checked my fps, which was only 6-7. Very slow, I know. Perhaps my laptop is just too old? I am using Windows 8.1 and the following is my video card pecs:

Intel (R) HD Graphics
1792 MB Total Memory
1366x768 (32bit)(60Hz)

Perhaps my laptop just sucks. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That is indeed a very low-end video card. Have you disabled shadows and turned off ground clutter?
