Try reverting the TOPDOWNZOOMLIMIT back to 300.
However, the one major improvement in changing the camera settings is to allow the camera to get down near level with the ground so you can really see the topography of the maps. The only downside is that sometimes the camera goes "underground".
These are my settings to get the camera low:

Cant call that cheating if the player can do it too. Its a tactic where meat puppets cant match software capability.
The zoom in seems to work fine but I cannot get the pitch to work any different than the original numbers. I cannot get down to ground level. Suggestions?
