Not cancelled but postponed. We had to find a way to keep afloat so we decided to create the Jupiter Hell Classic project to raise more funding for survival, but it is taking longer than initially planned. I do hope to release 1.9 before JHC launches, partially also to help co-promote JHC so expect it within the first half of 2025!

Oh, and wishlist JHC to help us out <3

if 1.9 has an extra class, why don't you make that extra class a paid dlc ? Lots of games do that

I mean the game is already awesome, cheap and loaded with content as it is, and it doesn't seem to generate a lot of monney, would people really complain if the extra class cost a few bucks ? i would be very sad if your company went broke, there's not many great games like this one

Some of us are still waiting for an OST/Soundtrack release. Could make a quick buck of that?

You have to poke Roland LaGoy about it, for he's been promising that one for ages :P. But no, we wouldn't make a quick buck on that, as per agreement all the proceeds from OST sales would (deservingly) go to Roland.

I'm still here! I was never given a deadline for the OST and I've always worked as an independent contractor (video games + otherwise). Been juggling things for years that way.

I did say the soundtrack will be finished, so I will finish it and release. When? Sooner than later. And yeah, even still, the OST likely wouldn't fund things enough to warrant an earlier release than what Epyon has planned now.

Also +1 on Jupiter Hell Classic.

I'd love to support these projects, even if it is DLC just because of how many hours of entertainment I've got out of this.

I mean preferably not DLC but will absolutely be picking up Jupiter Hell Classic when it comes out.
I see people on YouTube playing the new class inmate. Is it already out or do those streamers have early access. My version is still 1.8.

Inmate is a modded class and has been out for a while (check workshop page, it shouldn't be too hard to find). The new official class that is now actively beta-tested on Discord is the heavy weapon specialist (or just "heavy").

Wishlisted.

I never got much into Jupiter Hell, but +15 years back I put many, and I do mean many, hours into Doo-- uhhh DRL. In its original, ASCII glory. :happymeat: I actually first read the words "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" in the game, before becoming familiar with WH4k0, so thanks for that!

Sorry to hear that you've been having difficulty staying afloat. If you figure out some kind of 5-15$ supporter pack, I'll be happy to purchase.

Also, just thanks for a game I found very comforting and fun to pursue during difficult times. I was pretty active on the forums during those years (different nick, different era), and the community, discussions, and your other games gave me a lot to engage and constructively distract myself with.

For the direct link, it gets semi regular updates as I get feedback and refine the class.
Thanks for the mod! Also jupiter hell is awesome! So I am going to wishlist JHC to show support to the developer! Thanks Chaos Forge for making the best game I have played in a long while!
