Simple examples:
SMG 2/7 - First number is the optimal distance (100%), Second number is 0%.
SMG has a built in -10% accuracy, so you should have 90% hit at range 1-2, and about 18% hit at range 6.
9mm auto 1/3/9 - 1st number is below optimal distance (50%), 2nd number is 100%, 3rd number is 0%.
You'll get 50% hit at range 1, 100% hit on range 2-3, and about 50% hit at range 6.
I know it's kinda odd communicated right now, there's a topic where I explained it :)

Fair enough :) Would you consider adding an entry to distance in the Help menu then?
