Lets talk about that Auto Shotty tho bois, holy hell.. :")
SMG have a close advantage to ar - more dmg, no point blank penalty (witch AR have)
Though, If you don't have SonOfBeach or Accuracy, the revolver or shotgun might be better. Smg may force enemy to shoot back, even if only one bullet hit em. while revolver and shotgun can crit and oneshot.
HuntingRifle might be better than ar in some cases
Sometimes I'm picking SoB with Hunting rifle - just to make it oneshot shielded zombies(19->20dmg)
If you would find ADV 7.62 AR with 4shots and +dmg It's already better than chaingun, especially when modded by Technician. ADV weapons are good as long as it's not useless single +25-50% ClipSize(only slightly benefit smg)
In Callisto I try to run with SoaB1 Hunter rifle + random shotgun + SMG or chaingun. The 9mm auto will take the place of the hunter rifle if I don't have one.
Past Callisto I run almost exclusively on P-mod or Adv 7.62 rifle, only needing a shotgun for backup.
