So, the recommended way to go about this is buying a song on any of the major platforms (for example, Amazon Music) and downloading it as an .mp3. If it's a free song (such as most CC-licensed songs), you can obviously directly download it.
You can then navigate to the folder on your harddrive where you've stored the file in the in-game LOCAL file tab and select the song.
Uh... bro, you do realize that those services usually don't offer integration support like what you are wanting. If you are paying for a subscription, you don't actually own the songs; you are paying for the ability to play them at anytime and the subscription is more or less split with all the artists involved. You can still buy the albums, which some services then let you download them yourself.
Beat Saber, OhShape, and many others are all limited by the same thing for a reason, and that's more or less it. Plus, you can't really analyze a stream, so custom generated tracks wouldn't work even if the services were offered.
So I'm totally happy with this feature in PowerBeatsVR.
You know, it's fitting really: A good band has a band member from NightWish basically leave all because of your stupid streaming services. Granted, it does fall on also having ♥♥♥♥♥♥ managers, but his letter pretty much takes your argument and puts it where it and you belong: in the trash.

However, due to both contractual and technical reasons out of our control, this is not as simple as it would seem. Furthermore, as a small studio, we do not rate a hotline to the global streaming players.
Having said all that, we *are* actively trying to bring a streaming solution to the game, but given the issues listed above we cannot give you a definitive answer and/or timetable yet.
