I'm a little confused by this comment. Do you mean we should add details to the game information part? I don't know where the 6+ information came from because we've never said that. I'd love more information so I can get it fixed.
Just general information on how many people would honestly be enough, but I generally look through discussions for: Is the story progressed on host only or shared progress? is the loot instanced or shared? is it p2p or can I host a server?
I found the 6+ here on the top google searches for "swords n magic and stuff coop"
https://swordsnmagicandstuff.fandom.com/wiki/Multiplayer
and
https://playco-opgame.com/swords-n-magic-and-stuff/
Oh. You can join multiplayer from the very start. The "boat tutorial" was from the launch of the game and doesn't exist anymore.
Okay I understand what you are looking for. I can get that information added to the details page easy! Our wiki is community ran so a lot of information on it is outdated. We don't have enough of a fan base yet to fix up all the errors.
To answer that (as it seems all the information you've found is quite outdated):
The game plays as a single player or up to 16 players. Currently the game is peer to peer meaning you host your world and your friends join. You can also run a dedicated server through Steam (and adjust the max players based on your computer specs). We are looking more into finding a company that can host servers as well.
Each character progresses their story on their own and loot is instanced so everyone gets their own things. There are certain world tasks that once complete in a world, no one else can do (for example, fixing up the ferry to get to the main land).
Let me know if I've answered your questions or if you have any more!
Glad to help! It is an amazing game solo or with friends. Plenty to do. I did get the wiki updated and am going to update the store page as well. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
