renting a room
Can you actually sleep in a bed after renting a room or is it just a monetary exchange for a spawn point?

Thanks MrReddiculous!

Followup question. I've set the inn as the spawn point, but I only spawn there when restarting the game. If I die, I seem to spawn at random places on the island. Is there a rhyme or reason behind this? Briefly checking the discussions it seems it maybe the closest resurrection site to where I died? But most recently I resurrected at the opposite end of the island. I'm new, so maybe I actually traveled that far, but I didn't think so. Can you/anyone clarify what is happening?

So whenever you join a game, you will start at the last inn you rented a room at (or on the tutorial island if you have never rented a room before).

Dying is different, you will only respawn at the nearest shrine from where you died. So if you die on one side of the island, and fly all the way across it while in spirit form, you will still respawn at the closest shrine from where you died once the timer runs out. Otherwise, you can fly to a spirit shrine and stand on it to resurrect yourself there. Hope this helps, Happy Holidays!

Oh great, thank you! I didn't understand the spirit form either so this clears everything up.
Happy Holidays!
