Q's about Community Chest

Does it have any functions aside from being available to other players I need to be aware of? What are the pros and cons? I'm afraid to store things in there even though I play solo, in case they disappear???

Hello Ben \o. The community chests act as a shared chest for anyone playing in your world. The items in them won't disappear (unless on the very unlikely chance your world gets corrupted) unless someones takes them out. Its also worth noting that your world is shared between all your single player characters and hosting a multiplayer world also uses the same world, so the community chests will have the same items between all of those.
