I succeded to play coop campaign in 2024
Hello.
Coop campaign was working when my buddy and I used Windows 7. We chose LAN (not online) then conneted through Hamachi and everything was working fine.
Since Windows 10 we failed to find us for multiplayer matches or coop campaign. We've tried a lot of workarounds, vpn, wrappers, gamespy-like servers, compatibility settings, etc. In vain

Last week, I tried something new:
Il lauch Conflict Denied Ops on my Steam Deck.
Some videos don't appear correctly. Those of missions work fine.
The langage is stuck on english (I guess we can fix it in lauch options in Desktop Steam mode like for Batman Gotham City).
But, but, but... when I host a LAN coop campaign on the Steam Deck, my Windows 10 (on the same network) find and can join the party !!!
It works very fine.

I just tested the first mission and encountered no bug.
So I bought a Dock for my Steam Deck and will try to install Hamachi.
I'll make update about it during this summer.

God bless Linux !

Finally I choose not to use the steamdeck for hosting coop campaign (it works) but I made a dual boot with a Windows 7 on an old disk.

When the Coop Campaign is hosted on a Windows 7 or a Steamdeck, the client (other player) can join from a Windows 10 or 11.

Of course, I'm only speaking for LAN coop campaign. Then you can use a VPN like Hamachi to play your LAN game through Internet.
For playing directly through Internet I've heard thar OpenSpy could be used to replace the deprecated GameSpy wich is used by Conflict Denied Ops.

We have tried it but did not success to found us in the party. Maybe we made a mistake in settings or modifying the .exe with hexadecimal editor.

ports needed are in pcgamingwiki https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Conflict:_Denied_Ops

Thanks for advice but now I dont remember if I had correctly forwarded ports for openspy. I suppose I did but I can't be sure.

For me, this it no longer a problem today.
