Ultimate abilities?

Sometimes when I use a regular ability, a short cutscene will play where my character taunts and the ability will have none of its usual cast time - it goes off instantly.

There does not seem to be a rhyme behind it. Does anyone know what exactly triggers these scenes?

Bond ability perhaps?

I believe it's completely random...OR it is possible to occur if you have a resonating bond setup, like all same color. Not sure but I wanna know too! Too bad there is like no doco on this system.
