Just bought this one, we'll see how it holds up.
Here's hoping they easter egg Max in there some how.
After this Sega threw old universe out and started to abuse the brand for random generic-looking anime RPGs. Some pre-smartphone mobile games aside, it seems.
So don't think of it as related to old Shining, you are just going to be disappoint, think of each of modern Shining as a game of it's own.
Also, lore whise... every shining game was a tale told to the player, it just hapens some tales are related to each other. I wonder when did they drop the storyteller that saved / loaded in every game...
And publishers tend to cling to any brand due to 'potential' even if they do nothing with it.
Don't think that Sega was interested in old Shining games either. They were giving a low budget to Camelot, according to found info.
That's the impression that I have.
Games included are:
Tears (PS2)
Wind (PS2)
Hearts (PSP)
Blade (PSP)
Arc (PSP)
Resonance (PS3)
While note part of the series, there's also the fighting game Blade Arcus.
Funny thing? Of these games, you can find a Mizuki Nana role starting from Wind and onwards.
