I really wish they would but it seems like SEGA only removes Denuvo if the original devs request it and this game is pretty much considered end of support life.

Yeah, sadly, some games are 'end of support life' as soon as they come out even if the game comes out buggy and broken for many. *points at a certain company*

Even with a game like this, if they aren't doing a port or remake, you can't really expect too much support.

Almost bought it just now - but saw the Denuvo tagged on it. :(

Thank you for mentioning it! I didn't see it on the store page, but refuse to buy any Denuvo games.

I haven't felt any impact playing this game, is there something I should be looking for?

Oh we're back to pretending that denuvo changes your experience? Cool

it can cause frame drops or longer load times, I personally haven't felt any issues but some people just wanna make a ruckus over it anyways

There are no issues, thus far ive not seen one drop of real evidence thus far. Its a conspiracy theory. Ive seen long winded break downs guys write, and its all emotional.

bad implementation of denuvo does have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ side effects... Ubisoft titles... are such go ahead try it on a Athlon 200GE with GT1030 you will have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ experience even with lowspec tweaks (AC:Oddessey, Farcry 5?)

okay, i'm going to clear up this whole Denuvo crap.

you're already using a DRM to play the game. Steam is DRM, whether you like it or not, that's the truth.

if you hate DRM so much, quit gaming, cuz DRM is all over the place by now. it's in consoles, it's on phones, it's on computers. DRM is a mainstay, and has been for a while. if Steam shuts down, all your games are gone. if your account gets hacked, your games are gone. you have no ownership of your games anymore. that's the price we pay for "convenience".

get out of your baby britches and get a damn clue. Denuvo isn't the worst DRM in existence. arguably the worst of it is the DRM you're so comfortable with you don't even complain at all about it. quit crying, quit asking for it to be removed. either buy it or don't, but don't justify it with crappy excuses like Denuvo. it's seriously getting older than the second coming of Jesus.

There is a simple reason to remove Denuvo: Its a ticking time bomb. Its a DRM that requires validation from an external server separate from steams. Meaning that if anything happens with Denuvo servers(like when they accidentally leaked years of messages), whether because of a power outage or because the company goes under, your games are gone.
But not even that is really needed since Denuvo is already incompatible with some older AMD CPUs so they dont even have to shut down the servers, they just have to stop the updates and soon new components wont be able to run a game simply because no one added them to Denuvos database.

Yeah sure its not a problem "now". But how this current "now" will last is anyone's guess. So removing it sooner rather than later is a simple business move to make the game saleable in the future, not some costly act of altruism.
