How do you assign people to desks?

Hello,

I just got game a few hours ago but I am still cant figure out how to assign people to desk for hiring or much of anything else.

So if someone can help that would be great.

I just cant figure it out after hours of play.

Hi, you can't assign someone specific to do a certain task. What you can do is activate/deactivate the station (icon above it) if it's green it's active. So as long as you have crew members of that profession in your HQ that don't have any more important needs (food, sleep etc.) they will work at that desk. :)

Thanks for fast reply to my issue.

Your answer confuses me as it tells me ti assign person to the desk.
I got 2 hires since starting the game which I find low.
Also every firefighter is burnt out even thou I am sending some rookies.
And on top of that when i unlock new truck then I dont have points to get axe that is need on some calls.

I just restarted the game and deleted old game save and will try again.

I kinda cheese the system by pausing the game, deactivating everything aside from what I want people to work on, unpausing the game and wait for them to get there, and then activating everything else that needs worked on.

It works great for me at least.

I would love a feature where we could specifically assign someone to a task like TPH. I run into this problem with exhaustion. I have many exhausted people but none of them rest, leaving me to risk sending them out. If I could force someone to rest before the next call comes in thatll be great.

I got that alot and sometime my dispatch only has 10%-17% success.
And yes game needs some tweaking, Before dev told me about desk I spent a long time trying to assign people as thats what the desk said to do.

Very Frustrating to say the least.
