If there is interest in modding Sipho - I would gladly help. Hit me up on Sipho Discord and we could talk - there are some members who have reverse-engineered some parts of the game already.

This is one of those games that would really profit from being moddable so i'd love if modding capabilities were to be added

What would you like to mod? More zooids? More rocks? More Mutations? More bosses? Quality of life?

Just curious of what players want to have more in the game.

I think general, having players be able to mod a lot of aspects of the game builds up replay-ability beyond what's already here. The more possibilities there are for changing things, the more it makes people want to play it more and more and explore the options other players create. Look at something like Rimworld for instance, if that weren't modable, or only so in small degrees, it wouldn't quite be the absolute chungus of a game with thousands of mods as it is now with endless variety.

I know that in general, you want to keep the core aspect of a game in place and mods can open up ways to exploit things, make stuff too easy or even too hard, but that's also the joy of having mods, the more people can create, the easier it is to keep people wanting to play more and more and more.

Not to say this isn't a great game already, I've been having a lot of fun with it, but if I could explore player created bosses, weapons, effects, it would open up whole new microscopic worlds to explore!

I think mods could also add even more depth to the game in a way none of us ever even considered. Perhaps like a survival mode where you build a base with your bio-mass (on you or separate from you), collect resources and use certain structures to research, upgrade and mutate...

In my experience, the gameplay is too short and repetitive, I've reached the final boss many times and I don't have an incentive to continue doing it over and over again (also it's pretty easy to beat the final boss, especially if I choose strong starting zoodis). I think the basic thing the game needs are more bosses and more zooid parts - which modding could add easily, also harnesing the creativity of the community.
