City use 270kw.
It burn through the battery charges in seconds.
I have 4 battery on the city .
Interest is pay take money from one loaner city to leaning city.
No magical money right?
Build an office building and a small bank in each city. They make money and provide a way to keep an eye on income. A city with good space and people could support a bigger bank, maybe a bigger office building but if you build a big one you don't need the little one.
I only built one town square and made a lot of money!
Produce more batteries where you can provide wind power, as they can run run 24/7. Sell them to cities that need solar to function. With luck you'll get a cliff with 100% wind.
The cliff with a portal does not really need a trade shuttle. They both do the same job...
A cliff with population, entertainment, a big bank or entertainment square will rely on your other cliffs for some food, could sustain a portal for limited food sales.
With careful balance you should be able to survive... :)
Do not build fast..... this is also another trap. Build slow and let the game run. Follow the quests at the beginning until you get the quest that has you deactivate the airport. Leave that quest until your cities are completely stable.
You need to get your cities to 400 to 500 people and leave them there till honor 15. Rushing too fast makes it very hard to keep your economy stable. It is also very beneficial to get 50% of your researches done before you go past honor 15.... preferably more.
Being successful at this game takes a lot of planning and thought. Rushing the game will crush your economy. Slow and steady wins this race :)
You do need to build office buildings, but beware because they require a lot of people.
In summary, slow down. Get your cliffs self sufficient. Look at what each cliff is good at and produce slightly more of that product to sell to the station. Consider building 2 portals per city which lets you transfer stuff faster.
Trade portal platform arrives once per day and it doesn't wait for your drones to deliver goods in and out, so if you're tight on drones and they are not quick enough, you are screwed.
Trade shuttles are better: they wait till you load all your goods in and out, and they can make 2-3 turns per day.
Tricky early game - the game currently has the protection mechanism such that you can always have 750$ in your account until you start your office buildings. Make good use of it then, since many building's price is not greater than 750$.
Mid game - Entertainment Center is a Okay building to get money making job done. The best aspect of the Entertainment building is that they do not suffer from a working effciency decrease during the night. So you have constant income and workload for people. And keep the selling business on the way, make more good than you need could both enable you to survive disasters and to make money. Unlock the modulated building... and etc. This game really becomes easiler when it comes to mid and end game... money is not to be worried.
End game - do whatever you want, you still get money...
The most hard time is, of course, the early game stuff... which I sometimes seek the help from CE... it is playable, yet it takes a long time to get the economy take off.
That's correct, but the rates are high enough that if you keep lending money to another city for infrastructure it will eventually drown in daily repayments no matter how well it is doing. Try to never go above 10k and then repay as soon as the repayment is easy.
It's like real life that way, if you come into money then the best investment is always to pay off loans!
