Game requires .NET 4.7 and wont start

I have Windows 10 base and when I go to the microsoft website it says I can only install up to 4.6.2 with it. The game will not run without 4.7 or above, I get an error on start saying it's required.

Hi, i upgraded the game to 4.7 in a recent update. i just changed steam configs to also install 4.7 runtime during first run.

I go to the microsoft site to troubleshoot and base windows 10 only supports up to 4.6.2. See here:

Ok, I searched for this issue more and it say "If you're using Windows 10 1507 or 1511 and you want to install the .NET Framework 4.7.1, you first need to upgrade to a later Windows 10 version."
So i guess make sure your window are up-to-date.
I will try to revert the game back to 4.6.2 since i believe more people will have this issue

I am up to date with my windows updates (they're set to automatic and I double-checked anyway), what you're suggesting requires me to re-download a whole different version of Windows 10 as far as I can see? Ex. my win10 version 1511 is up to date on build 10586, I would have to manually download version 1709/1703/1607 off the microsoft site asnd reinstall to take advantage of .NET 4.7? https://i.imgur.com/ur0LD2G.png

Yes, if you have win 10 1511 you can't install v4.7 and up. Although, the 1709/1703/1607 version should have been installed automatically.
No worries, i will revert the game back to 4.6.2 which should solve your issue.

( also, since you can't even play the game you can request a refund from Steam and get your money back )

You can also use the winver app to see exactly what version you are currently running.
Hit Start, type “winver” and then press Enter.

Just push a new update (v1.0.1.5) which changes the .net framework version back to v4.6.2, hopefully this fixes your issue :)
