Demo feedback and general impressions
A very atmospheric circus-themed horror/thriller walking sim. Depending on your phobias, there is not much horror here - it's just mildly unsettling and surreal. A couple of jumpscares, maybe, but nothing brick-producing.

The setting and narrative, on the other hand, are quite immersive and intriguing. Story-heavy, detailed, it reminded me of a less edgy and insane (so far) Layers of Fear. And that's a good thing.

Protagonist refuses to leave the bed until he takes his fix of pills? ...Okay. Dorie's homework - priceless. Sittable/rideable carousel horses? OMG THAT'S RAD, take me for a spin! Weeeeee! Though I wish we could control the camera when riding the carousel, for more authentic spinning experience.

I hope that level of detalization and interactivity will persist through the game. And there will be more of the open-ish places too, like the house and circus entrance, and not just linear corridors.

And I also hope that this whole issue of the child's career vs. socialization will be addressed in the story. With all those details at the beginning, it made me think about the ethics of the situation.

Visuals are quite pretty, as far as Unity goes, and even the lighting is not half-bad. Some scenes really stand out. And the artwork is great!

Voiceacting is tolerable, but nothing special. But that song is really nice.

Performance is quite smooth. There is some stuttering and loading drops and freezes, but it runs in generally stable 60fps (max settings, 2080, FullHD, SSD).

Sadly, there are some major technical issues. FoV is nauseatingly low and there is no adjustment slider. The camera is far too high, as if the protagonist is on stilts. He even awkwardly wobbles when moving. There is a feeling that he is scraping his head against the ceiling at the beginning of the game. This and low FoV are the main culprits for motion sickness and make the game generally uncomfortable to play. Movement being very slow does not help.

There are collectibles, but no UI section for them? There is nowhere to check what I have. Same goes for the inventory. Also, you can't turn the crosshair off, which is distracting.

And it completely froze on me in the end, after the trailer. Had to force quit.

Also, Zohan is cool.

Were you able to ever directly access your inventory? I am beginning to play and cannot figure out how to access my inventory. I can see the inventory icon generating in the corner of the screen but cannot see anywhere to actually access viewing my inventory.

There is no access to the inventory.
If you have the item you need, it will be used automatically.
Do you know if an FoV slider was added in a patch?
