[SPOILER] Whats up with the final ending?

After you beat the game the first time, the game becomes devoid of the color green, and the plot changes up from the first time. I guess this is the games cycle continuing itself, however what is the signifigance of the color green being lost? The game was super satisfying to beat, and I just wanna fully understand the ending.

there are more things, and they are all connected by some core thing in the game that has changed
