For some reason the game wouldn't recognize my controller as player 1 ever.

Now it has, but for some reason my keyboard is considered player 2 and is automatically entered. It has total control of starting the game, I can't do it on my controller even when it is considered player one.

I've tried everything from restarting steam, my pc, uninstalling and reinstalling, using DS4 and not using it. I cant seem to find a fix or to restart everything.

For some reason the gamepad setup recognises my gamepad as being both Players 1 & 2, rendering it impossible for me to get past the mode select with gamepads enabled.

Some stuff to fix after the holidays settle for sure. Before that, I hope this helps: Reselect Gamepad ON (AUTODETECT), confirm and it will attempt to reassign the controllers.

In case this won't untangle the settings as we'd like (dreadfully likely):
- go to C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Local\ZeroRanger\SAVEDATA
- open SETUP2.zr in a text editor like notepad
- under [gamepad], change p1_id's value to "0" and p2_id's to "4"
(- to be extra sure, under [controls], set joystickdetect="0" to prevent automatic pad detection)
- save
- play
- pray

It seems like with a bit more fiddling around I was able to fix. P1 and P2 gamepads were both set to Dinput in the options. I changed P2 to be Xinput and somehow that just worked. Now my controller is seen as P1 and P2 isnt auto-entered when i start the game.

During the cooperative play with the same weapon setting, when stage restart (while one is dead?), Either weapon setting may collapse.(change to unselected weapon)

Not exactly a bug but something I'm not sure was intentional - against Arc Adder in level 1, in order to get the bonus I have to purposely drag out the fight. If I just play normally, then he's defeated before I even see the ring lasers.

If unintentional, maybe a health boost or a change to his hot pattern would fix it?

With the most recent patch (13/1/2019) the aforementioned gamepad issues should be fixed. If not, make noise.

*PLEASE MAKE THE GAME PAUSE ON UNFOCUS.*some random ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just minimized my screen and i dead and timed out becuase *the game doesnt appear in the taskbar* which, how is that even possible?

in short: pause on unfocus and put game on taskbar. I legit have to ctrl+alt+delete close the game then relaunch when this happens

Was Doing a pacifist run, which is suprisingly very possible up until 1-4, where the orb skeleton boss does not despawn or move to a next stage when the timer hits 0, and at least 30 seconds afterwards. This behavior is unlike all bosses before it, It is very likely not a glitch, but I was interested to see if I've missed something or if this was unintended.

Hi, could you please add a feature so that the game automatically pauses when the controller is disconnected?
I just had a horrible experience: right at the beginning of the true last boss, my controller's battery died. i didn't notice, and couldn't understand why I couldn't move, and thought maybe it was part of the cutscene or something. By the time I realized, all my lives were lost, and then the game erased my save.. This is honestly ragequit material, it's hard to repress the urge to uninstall the game after that... I won't do it because it's a really good game, but please add this feature to prevent other tragedies like this !

This is a good suggestion, though I'd like to know more about your setup. Does Windows think of your gamepad as fully disconnected when the battery dies, or is the dummied gamepad entity still there, just not receiving inputs?

I am on Windows 10 with an official xbox one controller and official xbox one wireless adapter. I'm not sure what you mean by the "dummied gamepad entity", but as far as i know, when the battery dies (or is removed, to turn off the controller, it's the same) the controller completely disappears from Windows' detection.

When I look at this menu (USB controllers in Win10) it shows my gamepad when it's ON like in this screenshot, but as soon as the battery dies, the controller disappears from this window. So I would say it's not connected at all.

Just for reference, Dead Cells has such a function and instantly pauses when I remove the battery.

Came across an interesting bug of sorts. If you lose all your lives and gain a Life up. You can continue, but the music ends until the next transition.

I have an Error whenever I try launching the game. It says "Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low memory (low disk space for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file." I have tried installing to two different hard drives, uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works.

This game doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boot. I start it, it asks if I want to go into full screen... Then does nothing. I can't even open task manager to close it, because it completely hijacks control of my computer. What kind of ♥♥♥♥ software is this? I want my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money back, this game does not boot.
