Windows 11 fix? Won't start

I just got the game and it won't start! I also upgraded to Windows so that is probably the reason. I don't think that Windows 10 fixes will be compatible.

Same here. crashes on opening the program. Tried various compatibility modes and running as administrator without any success. Tried running with DGvoodoo 2.78 as an alternate directx 7 wrapper and no success.

Running Windows 11 here and game works fine, must be something with your PC.

I fixed mine, i just unplugged all my USB ♥♥♥♥ and it booted. must be registering other things as controllers.

Had the same problem (Windows 11): game would load for 20-30% and then just exit.
This fixed the problem for me:

Unfortunately, the game refuses to detect my joystick (Logitech Wingman Extreme), whatever I try. Tried to play with keyboard or mouse but that doesn't work for me, I really need my joystick for this one :-(

Tried the solution of acido. Nothing changed. only blackscreen when I try to start the game. When I bought it, I can play for nearly 10 minutes. Now I have 50 minutes in trying to get it started :/

I opened up display settings and setting it to 1080 p and it finally worked i did everything else but changing the display to 1080 p is how it worked for me. so launch the game from steam select display change it to 1080 but you might need to check which one works for you but that should work. then launch the game and you should be able to play it.

steam sold us a 10$ piece of junk that doesnt work. i dont even want a refund, i just dont want steam to do this hsit
