Controller support

Does this game detect modern controllers automatically or do I need to jump through hoops to get it to detect my xbox one controller with ♥♥♥♥ like xpadder/joy2key?

Works fine for my Logitech F310 gamepad.

my ds4 pad works but i cant change buttons, shoulder buttons or sticks.
cant really play because i cant find a way to configure the button layout or adjust sensivity or ANYTHING

Look in the game's Data/config/(name of config profile) folders, for a "control.map" file; you should be able to open/edit it with a text editor.

thanks, but thats not neccesary.

but fiddling around with steams controller profiles helped.
now i can change button layouts in the ingame controls options

I use a PowerA Xbox One controller I got on Amazon, it appears to work for navigating the menus but I haven't tried any actual racing yet because it took me over an hour to get the game to even launch and now I need to go to sleep.

It works fine natively, but I think you have to set up the control mapping manually.
