No sound in game

I'm currently getting "No sound card detected" in the audio settings, and predictably no sound in game. However, I do hear audio when the cutscenes play.

Reading around, this seemed to be a known issue, fixed by running the game as admin. Doing that, for me at least, got the app into a loop of trying to load the game, questioning if I wanted to load the game with these parameters (`-i`), and then trying to load a `droid_gnome` exe. On each time through the loop, the number of additional command line flags would increase, duping what was there.

Anyone else having sound issues like above? Anyone got any fixes?

Yes, first thing i did was check all the config files. The game itsef says no soundcard detected. tried running in compatability mode, running as administrator etc etc. still no sound ingame.

Same for me.

This is really sad, was so happy to see it on Steam.
Asking for a refund. Will rebuy it when it get fixed!

I tried it out, and I can see that there's no sound. Hopefully the devs can get that fixed.

Running the game as admin fixed the sound issue on my side.

Still heavily broken tho

choose the active device
properties
extended

the chosen sound format may not be higher than 16bit, 48000Hz, DVD quality

Bonjour, j'ai réussi de mon coté à résoudre le problème avec l'utilitaire de compatibilité automatique de Windows 10 qui ma recommandé de mettre le jeu en compatibilité Windows XP (service Pack 3). Pour une prise en charge de graphisme plus élevée si ça fonctionne chez vous, vous pouvez tester une compatibilité Windows 7.

I launched the game and all sound went off right after the opening custcenes. It turned out the whole system volume simply got set to 0 by the game.

Where is 'System Control'?
Is this in the Steam folder within the Podracer Folder?
Please provide clarification on the path.

I think it's the same as...

Windows 10
Control Panel (windows start menu....go down to windows system...expand)
Sound
Double click on, or select the device and select Properties.
Advanced
Default format

Try that.

But i think, R.I.P. got it, i'm talking about your windowa settings, not the ingame settings.
