360 controller support

my 360 controller works with my other steam games, but not with this one however, i do not understand why. any help?

My 360 controller works just fine with it. Did you make sure the controller was plugged in/turned on before starting the game? Some games don't recognize it unless you do.

i have tried three different controllers on this game, none have worked, and theyve all worked on my other steam games. I prefer gamepad, end of story.

why are you so stubborn? PC games are not made for gamepads...they are optimised for using mouse and keyboard. wanna use a gamepad? then get yourself a frakking console...stop playing PC games.

How about I do whatever the hell I want, and expect to get what I pay for? I paid for gamepad function on my pc game, im not getting it. Now i want help. Your preference is obviously keyboard and mouse, mine is not. so quit your ♥♥♥♥.

Most games only support WIRED xbox360 controllers, not the wireless models. I had this problem a while ago with Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Double Agent, and Dead Rising 2.

As for the idiots saying play it with a keyboard/mouse, not everyone takes PC gaming as unbelievably serious as you. Lots of people want to just enjoy the game with a gaming controller while sitting on their couch playing on their bigscreen. So when someone asks for help with their controller, don't come here telling them to play with a freakin mouse/keyboard. So tired of seeing the same crap all the time.

@Admiral... PC games are not designed for keyboard/mouse. if you knew anything about video games in 2012-2013.. most games are ports of big time console games. Let me name a few that are CLEARLY console ports.

Double Agent, Splinter cell Conviction, Battlefield Bad Company 2, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 & 2, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Hitman Absolution, Hitman Blood Money, Borderlands 1 & 2, Rage, Dishonoured, Rainbow Six Vegas 1 & 2...

nope they are not..you can't play a shooter with a controller. this is clearly impossible. and because of this most games you mentioned got ported to PC for better playing with keyboard and mouse. get over it, consolero.

I think you should just shut up. So many games are meant to play with controller even PC games. Just try and play the Darksiders games on PC with keyboard and mouse. It's a pain in the ass. And even many shooters are produced officially for console and therefore they are optimized for using controller. Sure the aiming is better using a mouse but I found many Shooter ports that just suck because they are NOT optimized for keyboard + mouse. The time of exclusive PC games are over. Most Games are ported from consoles not because they suck when using controller, but because they want to earn more money with less effort. That often results in a bad gameplay when you try to play them with keyboard and mouse. Once you use the 360 controller everything is fine.

Most newer games have full Controller support: Batman Arkham Games, Assassins Creed 1-3, Awesomenauts, Bioshock 2 - 3, Castle Crashers, Crysis 3, Darksiders 1+2, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Dirt, Fable III, GTA 4, Hitman: Absolution, Tomb Raider, Mafia 2, Max payne 3, Sleeping Dogs, Trine 1+2, Remember me and much more. Why do you think did Valve invent Steam Big Picture mode with focus on controller support?
