PS. I don't like the system, but I guess we will have a potions guide posted soon.
Agree on not liking the system. We shouldn't have to wait on a guide to do this.
Thanks.
Now those low level brains have a (better) use.
Some potions (a LOT) need rarer parts?
1. No potion uses more than one type of ingredient.
2. Systematically running through the rows of ingredients will eventually unlock all of the combinations. Early on, experiment until the 6 potions slots are filled. Go fight something and use the potions in battle where possible, finish the battle and return to experimentation.
3. Parts above common increases the level of the potion. Uncommon increases level by 1, rare by 2 etc. Highest potion level is 10 (all legendary parts) but the levels only increase the numbers behind the potion. Most of the time it's enough to use common parts.
Something is wrong = invalid combination.
Might get something good = Valid combination not yet crafted for the first time.
Rinse and repeat to get everything. I started messing around from Cathedral at cakewalk difficulty and managed to craft everything before getting to the Magister.
Of course we can. But many/most people don't like it and don't like wasting that much time either. I will rather waste my time by replying to forum posts :)
It takes no more than 20 minutes to run through the combinations. If it was running the slots non-stop without waiting for the result, even less time. Some people take more than 20 minutes to search for what they need, so mileage may vary.
I'm personally satisfied with unlocking the potion list without needing external help. Didn't finish the session having a separate window open begging for potion help because it wasn't needed.
If anything, I am one of those players who hate unknown and suggested to make humatorium completely known for new players.
