Getting hosed here...
Anybody have any tips for beating the new "Bounty Hunter" boss? I'm playing on "Good Always Wins." I didn't have many problems reaching this point, even with the new level 2 boss people have been saying were OP.

I was looking good to beat the Bounty Hunter, but then he just summoned two more allies and there was no way I was going to be able to beat them with my weakened party. I'm not sure if I'm missing some obvious strategy or whether the Bounty Hunter really is that tough.

Any advice is appreciated!

What is your team? I usually try to replace a minion or two instead of creating a new team.
I had Banshee, Lich, Abomination, Mummy and the boss died easily since I had more problems vs a single monster instead of many (my party moved enemies around 3 times per turn).

I'll probably have to restart at this point as I lost so much trying to take him down. I had Mummy-Shade-Reaper-Bone Golem on my last attempt. Mummy seems like a must-have due to his ability to remove debuffs.

Could you give me a few more details on the tactics you used?

Lich puts clouds every turn, all other minions move enemy (not the boss because it cannot be moved) trying to get the boss into cloud. The funny thing is that I didn't even experience the boss super attack (one which requires 5 charges) because Banshee had "dispel buffs" on attack and had 100% chance to hit so I used it on boss when close to 5 charges. Also yes, Mummy was really helpful with removing debuffs

Thanks man... the Banshee remove buff ability is something I should have thought of. I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes.

Stay on top of this guy removing his buffs so he can never use his super attack.

Reaper, Unfrozen, Lost Soul, and Skeleton can also strip buffs. Maybe I missed another minion.

Wraith has an ability that strips buffs. (Does anyone still use the Wraith?)

Ah yes. I've only been using wraiths to build my obelisk these days

I play on More Pain (and 3 years later) but yes I found this fight hard and it took me a a couple of tries.
I won with a physical team: Ghoul, Werewolf, Headhunter, Skeleton.
Buffs and crits helped and I tried to keep only one of his ally alive so he does not summon two new ones. I also used over 50 mana on offense spells.
Debuffing him with Wraith seems like a a great idea, I didn't realize his super attack was triggered by a buff.

So, three and a half years later, I'm playing this game, and this boss was wiping my teams consistently. I wanted to thank this thread for telling me about the need to debuff him. I was neglectful with that, and it was the missing piece I needed to win.

Playing on "More Pain," my team was Banshee to remove the debuff and refuel mana, Dhampir for consistent repeated damage, Bone Golem for applying block on everybody else, and Skeleton acting as main tank.

My situation was a bit special though, because I lucked out and found the Infused Dagger before going into this fight. It allows the spell Crush Bones, which is strong direct damage magic. I alchemy-ed up full mana, put on spell power gear, and spammed that on the boss until dead.

The thread that keeps on giving!
