For damage, lich is king, his cloud with 5% kill chance doesn't seem much, but once you spam 3 up it starts to feel, also with lost soul wards his fire spell is gold.
Fill in what you want as third, I recommend the wraith for extra havoc, this is madness type of approach that works pretty well.
Edit 2 : Oh, if you just started, just get 2 x skeleton and 2 x bride, easy ride till 3 stage.
Also.... this is suggestion section, shouldn't this be on general forum matey?
For the last part of your reply, frankly, I got confused, too~Anyway, I just finished normal mode with the above standard stress party. This time, the artifact, shackle of war, is a must because inspiration is sooooooo annoying. Stress party steamrolled normal battles, especially the third dungeon. Here are some more tips I would like to add
For the 3 boss battles, you will need the artifact that increases 20 HP when your minions have 4 uncommon parts and the consumable smoke bomb because you probably need to kill the boss before he kills you.
For the third boss, I also discovered a little trick: do NOT hit the pyromancer when her fire shield is on. The shield will be gone after 1 turn. Do something else such as Bride's self-buff (do NOT stack, sadly) or healing.
Spirit in back row, after it banshee, another spirit and then knight.
Knight does nothing but spams stance to follow up attack every time someone buffs enemy.
As necro spells go ire 2 tier spell that gives +10 luck to everyone, give all minions + 2 int belts if you find them and wear light armor if you find it and +25 crit ring. Get the +1 armor + 1 ward buff and improved heal to spirits asap.
Strategy : skip turns till it's knight's turn, use stance, follow up with +10 luck buff to both teams-> knight does retaliation, follow with banshees shout ( hits all and you got high crit so chance for double morale debuff is huge), on 2 spot sprit spam the all hitting + initiave buff, back row spirit spams wards, heals and once you get 2-3 buffs to everyone uses ulti to STEAL ENEMY BUFFS TO GIVE YOU +20 ISH DREAD AND DAMAGE KEEPING YOUR CRIT STACKS.
When low on mana, leave one enemy up, buff allies ( banshee and spirit has skip type buff) and just spam mana recover on knight.
I end up with full hp teams, with +20 damage buffs, double wards 60-70% crits in end against ANYTHING else but gold golems ( that remove buffs often).
On perfect starts you got 2/4 of enemy team having hearth attack before they can even act ( if you can get 10 ini to all)
Currently entering hardest diff to test if this is as much of steam roll strat as well.
The above startegy is interesting enough.....(I never like Lost Soul cos she buffs enemies XD), you finished normal mode with the above strategy, right?
Forgot to add:
When you fight the first boss with a stress party, try to induce cowardance and keep that enemy alive so that the keymaster can suffer 20% stress of his current sanity, which is much more than your team can do!!
Golems are annoying tho, as only physical damage is the knight
They are able to constantly crit, debuff (even when hit themselves) and cause insanities and use wrath a lot for the unlocks.
Best combo so far in the game is 2 Lost Souls in the back and 2 Golems at the front.
Mass buffs/debuffs then Ulti with Lost Souls and you are able to kill everything and delay to heal your party or refuel mana before the next fight.
Also wrong forum section.
He means the minion Lost Soul.
