By default your spells are the ones for tab #1
By default your new spells go into tab #2
Once you have too many spells they go in the hidden spell list.
To change the spells in your tabs simply right click on any spells and a pannel will open (the hidden spell list) to show you ALL of your spells. Simply select one spell and it will replace the specific spell upon which you right clicked.
You can do so in empty spell slot to.
I agree.
This is a bad user interface design.
I was upset that I could not access my new spells when I needed it.
I would love to say that my wisdom or intellect allowed me to discover where it was as if I was a great detective.
The truth is ...
I just clicked all over the place out of sheer frustration while swearing loudly at the screen.
I tried the left mouse button and the right mouse button in my clicking rage and eventually that hidden panel showed up.
It was late and I was tired.
After I discovered the hidden pannel and changed my less used spells for the new spells I notice the over image that shows up when the cursor was over the spell slots.
I guess my cursor did not linger long enough to show the over image.
I was upset because I lost time and minions over that nonsense.
The game is good so I forgave.
*PRO TIP*
Here is a trick to get good at this game (in case you dont know it).
When you fight, you can press escape and then select exit game or main menu.
In either case once you reload your game you will start the ENTIRE fight over at round 1 as if nothing happened.
Dead minions are back at full health, same goes for ennemies. Ennemies that escape are back. You start that fight as if nothing ever happened.
This way you can try different strategies and screw up big time and see the outcome.
But ONCE the fight is over, you cant start it over.
It is how I come up with my spells strategies, minion strategies and potion strategies instead of doing the same thing over and over again with the same minions while hoping for the best
Also if the RNG gods of random numbers make it so you lose minions because of bad luck (in happens) this way you have a chance to save it.
It is infurating to lose favorite minions just because of dumb luck or just because you killed it by accident with the lich (see my warning below).
You also get to see who is the real danger among the ennemies. That swordman and that bard ... man ... I learned the hard way.
You will be able to come with better strategies in the long term.
*end of pro tip*
Be careful with the lich. They are 2 abilities that look very similar. One buff a minion, the other KILLS a minion. Quite a few times,I sacrificed by accident a REALLY GOOD minion that had superb items and high level.
Instead of buffing it I killed it.
Yea the over image explains it how to change spell. It just suck to find this info by accident or by rage.
I should learn patience and just calmly move the cursor over stuff to get more info. I am not ashamed to say that I rage quitted this game a few times.
