Some difficulty levels are a colossal waste of time
Iratus is such a good and rewarding game, but imo there are too many useless difficulty levels, they are mostly a colossal waste of time and false sense of progression.

I understand that most players want to have fun, experiment, and play any way they want, Cakewalk and "Medium" (current GAW) should do. But Iratus can offer epic satisfaction if the player would need to pay attention to all details in the game and have a decent challenge - I would like the game to show a "High" difficulty (current EH3 or EH4 ), and "Impossible" (current EH5). That's all, only these 4 difficulties make sense imo, and nothing else.

Cakewalk (Tutorial)

Medium (current GAW) - almost any strategy can be successful, mostly same minion team all 6 floors

High (EH3-4) - requires a good understanding of enemies, optimal gameplay, adapt team more often for various fights, resources are actually useful and needed

Impossible (EH5) - luck required, very specific teams for most fights, very limited ways of winning

My advice is to play GAW after Tutorial, then straight to EH3.
I don't think anyone learns more about the game until they play EH3. Just the boss fights could be a bit challenging on lower difficulties, otherwise it is a colossal waste of time to go from Cakewalk to More Pain, then GAW, then EH1 or EH2. There seems to be no real progress required.

I watched many many hours on twitch, streamers playing on low difficulties (including EH1), the game is so easy, nothing matters, just click and win quickly and easily. What a bore. There is no need to understand how minions can do better, very few synergies explored, the enemies abilities can be almost ignored, resources are always overly abundant, except for a few boss fights, any random 4 minions could win unchallenged.

The only reason the game should have so many difficulty levels (as current) is if a player wants to play a specific team of minions (fun but not very lethal) and actually find a difficulty that offers a certain amount of challenge. But for most players, it is very confusing, they spend a lot of time finishing an easy game, then the huge amount of time required to finish a game on a higher level is not a fun thought, they quit playing before understanding what the game has to offer.

I couldn't disagree more, there is no downside to having more difficulty levels than personally you enjoy. I play on More Pain, GaW, EH1, EH5 and you are suggesting to cause me troubles just because... because what by the way? Because other players play on difficulties you don't enjoy watching? LOL

There's nothing wrong with having difficulty options that are suited for a wide variety of players.

If you want to watch videos of EH5, just go and make one yourself. That's basically what your post comes down to.

Actually I did not intend my post to take on that angle, I watch any difficulty on twitch. The idea was that having so many difficulty levels would somehow "conceal" the beauty of this game by wasting time on irrelevant levels. Maybe I played too much :)

I enjoy the 2nd difficulty because I don't have to make different teams for different enemies. The most fun for me is thinking up teams that can do all 6 floors without ever dying.

Higher difficulties feel like a different game altogether, where I'm supposed to accept that my minions die without me being able to do much about it. I don't like that.
