skeletons since rain of fire doesn't ignite them

I haven't used the lich recently but I remember using mostly skeletons for the same reason Jork mentioned and Bone Golems since they can regenerate HP/create wards and have some moves based on being damaged.

The lich is relatively effective in a team with a banshee/wraith. Get two clouds up and hit the wraith's shuffle ult with the banshee's Noo! stance and you can wipe out an entire enemy team's stress bars very fast.

@Myrryr this setup is too complex for very unreliable play

I also tried the vamp in 1st position - she can drain hp from enemies and 1st round Lich can buff her... Still, would probably be better without Lich.
Maybe usable in 3-man squad so he can use his summoning ability, then sacrifice summon to heal self and others?

I enjoy Lich with Head Hunter. The Head Hunter uses Seething Wrath, then gets a Command Undead. By the time the Head Hunter drops his Seething Wrath, it's hitting with the bonus attack, and can then drop a Bounty or Dual Cleave also with the 14 attack (or 18 attack, with Dominate Undead upgrade). The total damage this combo does is something like 300% (can't check right now), which is *very* worth the Lich's turn. The only problem is that the Head Hunter can only do this every other turn, so the Lich will have to find something else to do every other turn. It's also possibly good or bad that this tactic will end up pushing the Head Hunter forward every turn because they're more versatile when forward, but can end up taking too much damage that they have to drop back, and you lose the ability to keep using this combo.

I've also been using the Lich primarily for easy, drama-free armor and resistance shredding. Head Hunters can shred armor and resist, but have to guess where the enemy will be next turn and also not get stunned. Dhampirs can also shred armor and resist, but need rage. A Lich just needs to cast Corrosive Cloud on a position.
