Final Boss Guide
Greetings all!

So because many people have struggled with the final boss (And how cheap the fight can feel) of 7th Deep, I wanted to make a quick guide so that anyone can beat it.

Party Level should be at least 45 and you should have one character with Mass Heal 3. A character with high magic + buffs would do fine with Mass Heal 2 though. Also note; the spell Reflection makes the first phase trivial.

Phase 1: The boss will cast powerful, single target magic that must be healed each turn. Sometimes the boss will use a low power heal. Occasionally it will cast Voidwave; removing all your beneficial buff magic. So be sure to reapply buffs as needed.

EASY MODE: If you have Reflection magic, then cast it on each member, renew effects when needed and watch the boss kill itself.

Phase 2: Nearly identical to phase 1. Only difference is it uses a spell which CANNOT be reflected on all members of your group. This spell will bring all members down to critical health so they must be fully healed before the boss casts it. You'll know when the spell is coming when the boss says "The reckoning comes!" This warning will deal minimal damage to the group which MUST be healed if you wish to survive. Just keep buffs up and heal as needed.

And that's it. Beat it down and enjoy the ending!

Hi LandricFrey

I am still playing this game on and off, but so far have never reached further down than level 30, having instead restarted the game several times with different characters, to see how they work out.

So I was wondering, how many levels in all are there? Is it 50 levels? Also, will you be making another similar game to this one? Would love to play another one like this one.

Hi Valdy, good to hear from you again!

I'm glad to see that you're still playing. As a dev that means a lot to me to know folks are still enjoying my creations.

There are indeed 50 levels to the 7th Deep, the last few of which are quite challenging but I know you could make it if you tried!

I don't want to say never, but it isn't likely that I'll be releasing any more games. I have started work on another story based game, with all the basics working, yet it most likely won't see commercial release. Another 7th Deep would be fun too as I have many unused ideas. I would love to make a full game with a 7th Deep type side game included really.

My games just aren't getting enough attention right now to warrant financing and dealing with the other forms of stress involved with releasing a new game. Best I can say is to get the word out and hope for the best :)

Thanks very much for your reply, LandricFrey. Seeing how many bad games come out every day on Steam, it's sad to see good games like yours (love The Dragons' Twilight as well) being drowned out by them.
I wish you lots of success, and hope you will not give up. :)

I agree completely. Except I would call many of those games coming out ' garbage' not just bad.

I was going to write "rubbish" games, but decided to be tactful. But yes, there is a lot of rubbish that Steam allows to be published here. I have many many games on my "ignore" list.

Thank you Valdy and you are exactly right; they just get buried under the sheer volume of games.

It would also help out a lot if Steam would direct players to other small devs instead of showing things like Skyrim and other hugely successful games under the "more like this" section. I mean, I doubt any of my games have ever showed up under the More Like This section of Skyrim, but I suppose that's what's making Steam money, not my little games.

Anyway, I'm happy my games get seen at all, so I won't complain too much (more) :)

I mentioned in another game's thread that none of the "more like this" or "similar like this" games that are shown are even slightly "like this". I don't know by what criteria Steam goes when they show other games underneath the game I am interested in with the heading "more like this" or "similar games like this", because none have ever been anywhere near "like this".

Or equip things like the Quadrupal and Doble hit Aspers along with Criticals. It doesn't take many rounds as long as you have a group healer or 2.

I equipped my Vyxen Rayne with Double and Quadruple, Critical and PowerPlus. Max used monster abilities and Lufia got a lot of HP-Plus and was my main healer. Beforehand Rayne crafted some nice dragon gear for protection. Worked like a charm, at least in Casual Mode. Haven't tried Survival Mode yet. Maybe then the strategies have to be a bit more refined :)

2 quadruple aspers would only give you around 6 attacks not 8 but still nice
