The download is 456MB, the 16GB is the total size of files that will be updated.

Uninstall and install again man, something doesn't seem right. I downloaded the 24hr Nurbrurgring (was it like 2.5gb? 5gb? I can't recall) and total like 2gb since then of updates?

16gb? Where? Idk, I am not seeing something like this happen on my end at all.

Do you have all the DLC btw? Maybe they changed how it works and instead of downloading on purchase all DLC is downloaded regardless? I have no clue why this is happening to you.

I just checked my size on folder in my install for ACC. Its 18.7gb total, I got all the DLC. Something it totally off if you are reaching the 100gb. Check and if this is the case I suggest not even bothering with checking files through steam, just outright uninstall, go to game folder, delete it completely, and then re-install. See how big it is then.

Another 16GB update but the cars still brake like sh$t.

idk what is going on your ends guys, but I had a 500mb update today and thats about it. 18.7gb is my entire ACC game folder. You sure there isnt an issue on your ends and the whole game is downloading again and writing over existing files?

ps, @andrevieira ummm, no. cars brake just fine.

you guys still don't get the difference between downloaded data and patched data. It says on the download manager. You're not downloading 15gb every time.
The problem here is with Unreal Engine. Every unreal game has the same issue because of the way UE games are packaged. It's not always like that and ACC is particularly bad at this. Whenever you change just a little bit of data anywhere in a UE game it has to unpack and repackage much larger files. But you're not downloading anything more than you need.

Today's patch is 456.5Mb. Complaining about "16gb update", genius

lol, they are talking about patched data all this time? seriously? I even gave the benefit of a doubt that something was wrong and they indeed were downloading large files every time from some error...

what is this, parade of the 10 year olds?

i would probably turn auto updates off.

it is a little concerning though as some games really are updating often and rewriting the data to our drives quite frequently these drives do have limitations and are probably going to reach there end of life a bit faster.

especially some games that are 80-100 gb+

personally ACC is not the game im worried about stuff like EA WRC lol is more concerning in this type of situation where its a huge game.

i notice especially the xbox game pass seems to really have issues updating games without reinstalling the whole thing.

anyways that is just how it is currently its a little annoying i mean just having games be 80-150gb is a little annoying to start with lol luckily ACC is small
