What is Quick Join Public Multiplayer ?

Is this actual races or Hot lap challenge etc. ?
I end up just getting to standing start, then when the race starts it bumps me to the garage and says controls locked for 3 min. after green flag etc.
? What's it all about.

No, quick join is "random join of any open lobby" what usually mean Monza.

Loom for the servers yourself, it is always a better experience (you can select track, conditions, if it is at practice, quali or race, length of the session, etc).

I just want to unlock SR so I can get onto the LFM server.
I assume I need to unlock still, and it says wrong password. I wasn't aware that the License run needed a passwords but it shows it's locked too.

I'm missing some details about this I think.

How to unlock SR if I need to even do that, and how to get into the LFM Lic run server ?
Seems like that's were all the action is on LFM since Competizione servers are not active.

These open lobbies are races like these:

Most are without password but will need track competence (4 clean laps under the same pace, dont neeed to be fast) and you can find open lobbies with zero SA or low SA so you dont need to driive against AI to farm (I dont even recommend, AI dont drive like a player or real driver and may teach you wrong how tpo proceed in races because of that).

Because if you join a server that is still at practice or qualify session you start at pits, if you join a server that is at race and race is stil to start you start on the track at the back of the grid but if you joi na server that race already started you join at pits too.

Pure hell is what it is. Join simGrid or LFM if you want any resemblance to actual racing. If you like bumper car mahem ending in a total wreckfest at turn one then join the open lobbies.
