Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione

Is Assetto Corsa Evo a replacement for Assetto Corsa Competizione ?
I bought Assetto Corsa Competizione a few months ago and I feel terrible that I didn't wait for Assetto Corsa Evo, which comes out this year.

I'm also really looking forward to ACE, but I'm afraid ACC will become irrelevant.

How do you feel?

Since ACE will come out as an EA title with limited content in the beginning, ACC will probably still have some time. So i would not expect ACC to be dead as soon as ACE arrives. There are also rumors, that ACC will recieve one final update after Evos release (that's based on an italien interview, where Marco mentioned something about that. I'll try and add the whole interview, if i find it), but it was something along the lines of "trying to fix the main critique points for a lot of players" what ever that means.
Lastly, ACC and ACE appear to cater to different kinds of players (or tastes?). Personally, i don't care for free-roam and that whole car-enthusiast-theme. I just want to race purpose build cars around amazing tracks, without really caring, what's under the hood.

Edit: found the interview. Timestamped to around the time, where the interview asks about the future of ACC (check 14:00 if TS is not working)

ACC will still be the niche GT racing sim. ACE is a more broad motorsport sim, similar to AC.

It will depend on how many GT3/GT4 cars AC Evo includes.
I guess it will be less than in ACC at start, so ACC won't die soon.

thank you very much for your reply, my tastes are the same as yours, I'm also not interested in the outside world of racing, I like to race on amazing tracks, so I'm worried about the future acc

Also tracks "AND" how the cars drive on default setups.
