Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione

is it beginner-friendly for casuals on controller?
hi i'm looking for racing games to play. It has been hard trying to find a game that suits me well. i am beginner level on racing with little to no racing knowledge. I play on laptop with an xbox controller. I tried Assetto Corsa but the UI was unintuitive and hard to navigate, not supporting controller navigation on the menu. I didn't want to download content manager and mods from the internet to have a better gaming experience.

I want a casual experience, cruising around tracks like playing ETS2 on supercars and don't want a hard-core, hyper-realism racing sim game. I am willing to play games with a learning curve, but I want an in-between somewhat realistic but not too difficult to play game. I didn't like arcade style (asphalt, FH) and am bad at real racing sims (WRC 7, WRC 9, AC) where I keep spinning off corners and crash losing control.

The driving games I like so far were American Truck Simulator and GRiD legends

Hi I played FH4 before but didn't like the arcade style (mentioned above). Also, driving on the left in Britain made it unnatural for me.
Also, I think I saw your replies in another "is it beginner friendly" forum. You said it was controller friendly for beginners didn't you?

You found the thread, very good, I was just about to post the link.

Yes I did, and I play it only with controller as well as AMS2, LMU, Racroom for example.
Together with Raceroom, this is best played with the controller.
Raceroom is free, so you might want to try that.
Although it has to be said that when ACC is on sale you really get a lot for your money.

Grid Legends is pure arcade game. I don't understand what are you talking about.
AC is great when it comes to play on controller.
Keep practice with the games you bought because as I understand you have the best games in a genre and all are bad in your opinion. Don't you think is something wrong with you?

You looks like another troll from some company I won't mention because they don't deserve an advertisement.
All your comment doesn't make sense to me. Maybe try the The Crew or TDU. But these games are also arcade.

If you like Grid Legends and want something more then buy the previous Grid.

Based on what you listed as the games you like, I would avoid this game.
You didn't comprehend my request well. I am not trolling and there's no need to insult me. I said I am willing to improve on getting better, and, I liked GRiD legends but wanted to try a more realistic driving game. For me, arcade meant unrealistically fast cars on nitrous and collecting items in tracks which I don't like. Also, I tried The Crew 2, it felt like Asphalt to me and most importantly it doesn't feel like driving in USA at all.

If it sound harsh for you then I'm really sorry mate (my bad) because my intention is not to insult you at all. I just see so many similar comments last time that your looks like a bait.

I gave you the answer already but it seems Grid (2019) is not available on Steam. It's a shame because it's much better than Legends and probably it's something you are looking for.

All I can say is practice more in AC you bought as I understand or if you have a funds buy PS4 and physical copy of the game I mentioned about or PS3 and Gran Turismo 5 or 6.

However if you bought (as I understand) so many great games give AC another shot with assists and with time you will be very happy with this title.

Remember one thing too. It's not about winning when you start with sim-racing games and when it comes to simcades on PC maybe Forza Motorsport will be a good choice (however this game is broken on many aspects IMHO, so it's not recommendation from my side).

If you like motorcycles I highly recommended Ride 2.

Don't take all comments too personally in the future. Not because I fail with a response (shame on me) but because you will be more happy person.
Cheers!
