PRO AM Silver etc...
If i put AM on my team car, what does it mean? can i only enter AM races? Does it change automatically when i race online to whatever level im at such as Siler or gold and pro?
what is it all about?
I know that I can use the Silver for example if i reach a silver rating but it just lets me use silver anyway even though i havent earned it. Does that get automatically adjusted for your races online?
Also. im using AM as im not a sponsored eSport driver. is that what others do?

https://www.acc-wiki.info/wiki/Driver_Profile_and_Rating
Rating

Your driver profile will be permanently evaluated if the settings have not changed in the game. That means no matter if you're driving in multiplayer or singleplayer mode your stil will be analyzed at all times. But you have the option to turn off the rating for the single player. Go to the options under General and set at point rating "Multiplayer only".

Driver rating system in ACC / based on the "FIA Driver Ranking"
You can find an overview of your ranking: Main Menu/Driver/Rating
now selectable: "multiplayer only", see in Main Menu/Options/General/Rating
The rating is linked to your Steam ID.
The evaluation of your driving skills is based on several factors: track knowledge, constant driving, vehicle control, speed, safe and respectful driving, racing skills and competitive experience. For each of these areas there are points, from 0-99. These are in turn combined into a number (total), which then determines your status:

plaque table
9500 - 9999 Platinum PRO Professional 000
9000 - 9499 Gold PRO Professional 000
8000 - 8999 Silver PRO-AM Professional-Amateur 000
0000 - 7999 Bronze AM Amateur 000
( Numbers not yet validated )

You have to drive constantly (250km) for a while in a new evaluation area before it becomes active. When you have reached a new status, it will be communicated to you, even while driving.
All evaluation areas can be developed in Multiplayer, but for beginners it is advisable to set up a training session in Singleplayer to get points in Track Competence, Consistency and Car Control.
Once you have started a practice session, click on "Drive". At the top right in the HUD, you should see the rating system by default. This will guide you through instructions and tips for your ranking.
The first three criteria offer the server operator the possibility to allow on his server only drivers who have reached certain values. The higher a value, the higher the maximum allowed number of riders.

yes thank you for the information, indeed its a useful source thanks. however, it doesnt answer my question. To put it very simply. I can set my team car to have PRO or International level, does it automatically change to AM with red numbers, because im Bronze during a race? Or does it keep the white or green number plate i put on it.?

Are you referring to single player races when you say it let's you use silver?
SaxonRaider 12 AGO 2021 a las 11:27 a. m.
yes, it lets you use whatever in single player, i havent dabbled in multiplayer yet, just getting my SA rating up to competition level first. If I went into an MP race would it automatically select AM and Bronze Tier coloured number plates and list me as AM? regardless of my number plate being on PRO? for example
SaxonRaider 12 AGO 2021 a las 11:28 a. m.
Not sure what International is, is that Platinum level?

I can get my SA up in multiplayer by taking care with people.

I qualified 1st, allowed people go in front, then I just overtook on 1st lap those that screwed around and I took care with whoever was behind.

Many actually leave after the first crash and some just return to pits to continue later, it also happen a lot in Monza and other tracks because of T1 where people tend to pile up.
My suggestion to go online and farm SA, allow everyone in front before race start, try to stick behind without forcing overtakes on at least 1st lap if people are to close to each other and watch how everyone is racing to see if people are racing fair, to check everyone else pace and braking points, for at least 1 lap, then you start overtaking.

If you can have car control and attention to your surroundings (and if you dont mind not starting in the front no matter how good you qualified), then MP lobbies even with zero SA can be fine to increase your SA.

thanks for the tips, yeah I was worried about going online because of my experiences in other sims, however i used to race in Race Department races many years back and loved the fair racing we had then. I still always let other overtake me on that first lap as you wisely mentioned. :104::lunar2019grinningpig:

That is the idea, if I dont know the other driver and I am still with cold tyres, or I see a "bold move", I just hand the position (like I did in the end), just happened the other guy did not knew where to start braking for overtaking there and gone for the wall while I just held myself back a lot to allow the overtake and watched him commit suicide.

If you are faster, you will eventually overtake, if you are slower, you will not hold back, not for long and not without costing you a lot of tyre wear, pressure and being more prone to mistakes, also if you dont know the other driver, you dont know if that is the fair or unfair kind of driver, skilled or unskilled kind of driver, so in public lobbies with people I did not drive yet or did not drive enough nearby, I dont risk so much (and still sometimes crap happen anyway and, you know, sometimes driving some 0.5s near the driver in front I can also commit a mistake or not expect a much earlier braking too, but that is a risk).

I don't believe what you see there in single player correspond to anything directly in MP. MP will simply go off exactly what your rating number equals.
