I don't think this is beginner friendly. The easy AI is actually not easy at all and they are not just good but also can hit you on purpose so that you lose the control of the car. Maybe it's easier for people that have played a lot this game or similar ones, but not for a beginner. I'd expect the easy AI to be dumb, but they are not. They are like professionals. This makes no sense. People that have never played a similar game, will have a hard time to even barely enjoy it.

thanks for the info! if i get other similar answers i might stick to gt7 since is a bit more filled with casuals. :(
i hate the fact that gt7 isnt on steam paying online just to play 1 game on ps5 feels so bad ahahah

If you have a wheel and pedals this game is easy for everybody. You can turn in very nice tracks alone and if you put the AI cars at 70% they will even wait for you and don't pass.
The game will give you god feeling how to drive a racing car. In addition it is on sale.

I dont recomend drive with AI.... AI is like robot who drives way too perfect even on easy. To dive in.... Beginner?noob servers is for you. Stearing wheel is must have.... On controller this one will be night mere. Assetto corsa is sim, but GT7 not.

I think this is the most beginner-friendly simulation currently available.
And it's also the easiest to control with the controller.
(I'm not the only one who uses one.)
If you have just a little interest in racing sims you should definitely buy this one right away for only 12€.
And there are enough threads with tips on how to set up the controller, if you're interested I'll be happy to show you.

This is not beginner friendly. Stop misleading people. Winning against easy AI is difficult, even if you drive well and almost perfectly, which makes no sense because it's supposed to be easy. How is this beginner friendly? Moreover, the steering wheel support is actually not good in my view and the controller experience even worse. See my other recent thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/805550/discussions/0/4637114675689020066/, where I explain why.

But it is. We are talking about racing sims here. If this game is not, then no racing sim is "beginner-friendly".
And if you had read carefully, you would have noticed that I wrote "most beginner-friendly".
Please name another sim that is "beginner-friendly".

The Ai is as easy or difficult as you set it.
I don't understand what you mean, or do you not manage to overtake it at 80%?

As for the steering wheel, as I said, I use a controller, that works well.

P.S. And regarding the controller, I will quote myself:

We're not just talking about racing sims here.

The user just got into racing games (according to what they wrote).

Maybe this is the most user friendly sim racing game (idk), but it doesn't mean it's beginner friendly to people that just got into racing games in general. It's not.

Also, steering the cars with the controller in this game is horrible or at least bad. It looks like you're using a wheel in the middle of the car and that is perpendicular to the ground. You don't feel the car.

If the user wants a racing game where the controller feels good, they should choose FH5, but then FH5 has many many other problems, but definitely more user friendly than this game, as it doesn't require you to drive amazingly well to just surpass 1 player. I'd also like to note that I've criticised FH5 a lot more than ACC, but also I've played a lot more FH5.

Just expect a huge learning curve. It's not easy for anyone let alone beginners. You have to be really dedicated to get good at any decent sim-racing game. Been doing it now for just over a year and finally getting to the point where it's more fun and less struggle, but I still crash more often than I would like. Also if you do get addicted to it, god help your wallet lol

Anyway I'm 60 years old and it's one of the most fun things I've ever got into. And I've got into a lot of things lol

hmm idk it will probably take a little while to adapt. Honestly for the price its a great racing game/simulation.
There is still assists you can turn on if you have too.
I would say if you experienced this on a wheel though you would probably not want to go back to gt7 lol
Hard to say how it would be on a controller...there are some super fast people on controller that are competitive with esports drivers though and faster than me so it is possible.

Also you probably need a pretty decent pc to run this well.

This would def be a leap in difficuilty ..... but idk if you like to race its very engaging and fun and just improving your lap times in practice sessions feels like a success.

Its when you actually get close to being fast you start struggling mentally....on how to gain another that last .5-1.5 seconds off alien lap times. This game will really test your limits and skills thats for sure. Also your patience haha

Very nice User interface not much of a career mode but good championship/single player options. The game loads fast and doesnt have to many problems really.

In all honesty no realistic sim is generally beginner friendly, however we all started somewhere, the more practice time you put in the faster you get (this might sound obvious but a lot of people get frustrated that they cant compete with the fastest guys after a couple of hours of practice)

I will add that ACC was my first realistic sim, coming from f1 games.

It is easy to beat AI on easy because I think it is 80% AI, meaning it is 20% off from the best times, meaning it is some 20s off at Monza that have something around 1:45 (105s) best lap
