G29 brake
Hi everyone
I have a G29 with brake mod but for convenience I moved the brake instead of the clutch.
the problem is that with the mod the brake (clutch) pedal doesn't have all the travel and on acc you can't change practically anything. do you have any ideas??

I use the clutch pedal as brake and it works fine with the clutch pedal travel range as brake (wihtout any changed to logitech software).

No idea what could be happening to your pedal, try checking potentiometers.

I don't remember well on ACC.
But usually the pedal range setting is in pedal setting page in config.
Some game has deatzone (ingored input) and limit max (set the max point).

My brake pedal is very tough, so I've set these setting on each game.

thanks for the replies.
I have already looked in ACC and tried with various settings but the problem persists.
basically the hardware mod has "shortened" the pedal travel and consequently I can't use the full movement. in other games I can solve but if ACC not.

By "hardware mod" you mean you are not using Logitech Gaming Software or GHUB but something else to change the G29 files?

no by hardware mod I actually mean changing the spring and adding a mod similar to that of 3drap. the various logitech software give problems with lemans ultimate and therefore I had to uninstall them.

Well, I have rF2 and even have LeMans so I will not purchase this, still I use Logitech Gaming Software and it never gave me trouble (GHUB on the other hand sometimes was crap) at rF2.

Did you install it on the clutch pedal?
So the problem would not be within the installation of the custom piece or the custom piece itself?
Sorry but I did not understand but understood that because of LMU you removed the Logitech software but the "hardware mod shortened the pedal" (what can happen if the hardware mod is stiffer or "bigger/lnger" than the rubber thing the Logitech ppedal had . . what maybe could be solved by using other pedal too or not using the mod).

I am trying to understand better while also trying to help. I am not defending Logitech, the brake thing may eventually falter as it is a piece of rubber and may get harder and harder with time, reducing travel range by itself, but the Logitech software works fine (GHUB just need to avoid being updated, it sometimes screw with your wheel configuration and FFB, Logitech Gaming Software is more limited in its functions but works flawlessly).

sorry I explained myself poorly.
I removed the logitech software because on LMU it almost completely eliminates the FFB and I don't know why. My problem is practically only on ACC where I can't adjust the brake pedal travel which thanks (due to) the mod it limits the travel itself.

Well. . dont know.
I would remove the mod but if you make it work elsewhere I dont know what to say.

I did not try by myself, but I was checking some solution to use handle controller for motorcycles games. Then some Japanese page was recommending to use X360CE Xbox 360 Controller Emulator. I wonder it may work for your case too.

G29 never needed it andd he just installed a physical piece that have nothing to do with the Logitec software or ingame settings (I mean, it needs some configuration of max travel range but still it can be dontt ingame nonetheless).

I removed the logitech software because ...
As you removed, try installing it again and see if then you can adjust properly the pedal travel range ingame with the logitech software settings at default.

no nothing to do. same problem.
I will have to use the brake pedal and not the modified clutch pedal

Yes, use clutch pedal "without the mod"

I do use the clutch pedal as brake without any modification
PiPPi May 5, 2024 @ 2:03pm
let's take a step back...
I have always used the clutch pedal as a brake and I installed the mod right on the clutch. unfortunately only with ACC I can't change the pedal travel via software. in practice now with the mod the pedal has a very short excursion and ACC does not have enough margin to adjust it
R.U.d.V.S? May 6, 2024 @ 3:57am
have you tried inverting the axis. so the max is now the min? I just hope it doesn't apply (insert amount mod has removed from pedal travel here) brakes constantly this way.
PiPPi May 6, 2024 @ 11:02am
yes same problem
