I can't map my throttle, break or clutch
When I tried to set up my pedals, I couldn't set them to the throttle, break, or clutch. I then tried reloading the game and had the same problem. I later tried to set the throttle to one of the buttons on my wheel to see if that would work and discovered that, despite the fact the game recognised the wheel and was able to use it, I could not map anything to these three slots.
I don't know how this issue came about, nor how to fix it. Can someone please help me out and suggest some possible solutions to this problem.

did you install the driver of the wheel?

it would help if you said what wheel/pedals is it possible you just have something wrong in your steam controller settings i think it should just be at default so if you changed it for a game pad or something it might be causing problems?? just an idea never had a issue myself.

anyways i would make sure you installed the drivers then maybe just try to restart the pc then you could try a different usb port after that if its not fixed.

other than that hard to know much without knowing what wheel/pedals

Keep in mind F1 2022/23 and Project CARS 1/2 may screw with your wheel if it is a Logitech one, I had similar issues while having these games installed
Wall of text without specs for tech help does not work. Going to the website of the gear brand and tech support forums is usually the way to go. When you correctly installed your hardware the game should pick it up

@OP
you can not bind brake and/or throttle to buttons in ACC
they need to be binding to axis (except if you using keyboard instead of a wheel/controller )
ie in your pedals axis (if you have a pedal set) or in analog triggers of a xbox/ps or compatible gamepads
that's why you can't bind brake/throttle on (your wheel's) buttons

do you actually have a pedal set connected?

if your pedals set works in windows control panel then it will work in ACC as well, no doubts: ACC works with almost ANY wheel and pedals on the market without problems, as long as you don't want to bind (on/off) buttons for inputs that need to be pressure-sensitive like steering, braking and acceleration.

to see if your pedals are actually connected and working in windows, watch this:
