why all the content have to be paid dlc?
Grand Turismo updates are always free, free cars, free tracks the improvement are free as well.

i do think the difference is the stuff literally did not exist the year ACC came out so it could not possibly be added to the game or developed until it was either able to be licensed or actually existed in the series lol

its sadly just not that cut and dry anymore much more has to happen behind the scenes to release content like this that actually is a real life entity/series it would be different if they just idk labeled everything as a off brand(ams2) and not an official SRO racing series game lol

but really the prices have been great considering the content quality is also great.

i mean imagine if you sold someone something like a PC and when a new part came out they just expected you to supply it and install it for them for free lol

people have to be paid for there time is all im saying the guys developing content for games are just like everyone else going to work for a living its not like its all fun and games its probably miserable at times with the deadlines and bugs that need fixed it has got to be stressful.

i am also cheap and dont like spending money but i feel like its pretty reasonable to pay for peoples work/time.

Even Nürburgring track was included in the original Assetto Corsa and most other games.

the reason gt7 can do that is because it's funded by sony also gt7 has dlc cars.

Because Developers need to earn money, they dont work for free, its not charity. And btw the base game is like 10€. So paying for a DLC every few months is not a big deal if you enjoy a game.

smaller studio, and they deserve the money. Sony can do that because they make other games. Kunos only make AC and ACC. Costs a lot for them to get this content.

I don't like it still you release a game with half the content and than sell the rest of the content overpriced later.

Thats not true. Its not EA or Ubisoft where they release DLCs two weeks after release.

The Game is out for years already and the continuisly bring new content like new cars for example, they could not even bring to release. And they could not bring Nords earlier.

The dlc in this game are reasonably priced and good quality. I'm fine with it.

Gran Turismo's content doesn't take nearly as many development resources to create. This isn't to say the game is bad or anything but as far as the sim racing ecosystem goes, Gran Turismo sits at the higher end of the "sim-cade" or perhaps "survey sim" spectrum where modeling a wide variety of cars and tracks is favored over modeling a smaller variety to much greater levels of detail.

Assetto Corsa Competizione didn't release with "half the content". The main release was a full title that stood on its own and had all the content it needed to fulfill its initial scope. All the content after has been addon content that expands the game as opposed to completing it.

It’s Easter Monday, which is either a good or bad day for sales, around 10k playing the game, according to steam DB. Let’s assume they all bought the game that’s £100k, less steams cut, that’s £70k in return. I don’t know how steam DB works but ACC is never that high on concurrent players. Normally 1-3k players.

GT7 and Forza have huge players bases, which generates huge sales on initial release to cover future free releases and make big money for DLC. So with smaller studios you have to accept dlc otherwise they will abandon ACC, and move to AC2 which is there next big cash injection.

Reiza are in the same situation so I’ll throw my money at both.
