Issue with Assetto Corsa Competizione and Discord Voice Chat

I'm encountering an issue with the Discord voice chat and Assetto Corsa Competizione and I'm hoping to get some help here. Whenever I start a race in the game, I can't hear anyone in DC, nor can anyone hear me. I've tried troubleshooting on my own, but so far, I haven't been able to resolve the problem.
If anyone has experienced a similar problem or has any suggestions for troubleshooting?

If you have Windows 10, right click on your speaker symbol -> Sound Settings -> Sound Control panel -> Communications and select "do nothing"

I know this post was a while back but I just started encountering this issue? I tried the comment section's solution but it did'nt work, pls let me know if you fixed it.
