There are more options depending on the track, check this out:
https://coachdaveacademy.com/tutorials/what-is-the-fastest-gt3-car-in-acc/
I dont know about BoP tho but att the time I was returning to my previous best times in some tracks before I dropped it for the 296 that drives slightly different and on slightly different gear ratio for many turns meaning I had to learn the car before I started doing my prrevious best times again and it was harder on tracks I was too used with the 488 EVO (harder to let go of the driving behavior and gear ratios I was used to before)
Neither the 296 or the ne McLaren are listed there.
Tho I would like to know the real difference between the cars on all tracks (that I think before it used to vary from 0.1s to 0.7s difference from faster (benchmark) to slower in worst case scenarios, on esports alien levels of lap times. (I dont remember where I saw this list so I dont know wheere to search).
24 Tracks. The fastest was:
Ferrari 296
13x
Audi
4x
Porsche
3x
McLaren
2x
Lambo and BMW
1x
Yes, the 296 is my most driven car, so this is no surprise.
However, the lap records from my 4 test tracks where I drove the most and tested all the cars are interesting.
Kyalami > Audi
Watkins Glen > Audi
Paul Ricard > Ferrari
Oulton Park > Audi
What's even more interesting is that I don't like the Audi at all and have only driven it very little.
What does that tell us?
I have no idea. ;-)
It is more about the driving style (and sure skills and understanding too) than the car itself, the car may be "the best" at a certain track but if it dont fit you it will not be the fastest "for you".
- enjoy the game at your level with the car you love.
- fall into a fomo need to drive the busted car of the week and fail at both performing well and enjoying your time.
Your call.
And that i should not ask random people from the internet what ist the best car for me.
You have to try it out.
Why not Bentley?
I just did 4 quick laps and was already only 0.5 sec. behind the Ferrari.
Those cars, particularly the 720 have a significant advantage over anything older as the physics and tyres etc in the game have been built into those cars primarily as they are the newest cars.
With anything older you are in lucks hands, you either get a decent setup on an older car, or you get a garbage one, the old Audi;s for example used to be both great cars but with one of the recent updates became instant trash. Same as others like the Jag which was a missile on some tracks.
On the other hand some have been improved on some tracks even hideous stuff like the Reiter is now usuable, the old Aston v12 can be too and the old Bentley.
If you truly understand setups and the quirks needed to get the best out of them, you will still really be able t use anything except for real dross like the old NSX and 650 McLaren but there are very few people who really fully understand not just setups but the game physics and what the changes do, as in real life they do one thing, but here they do not necessarily do the same thing or cause the same strong reaction.
The best guys understand all this AND are very fast, the two are very much hand in hand.
i would say right now theres actually quite a few decent cars the nissan is pretty nice right now seems like the lexus and bentley are doing ok as well a month ago these would not really be options but they are now.
the ferrari 488 is ok and if your doing stuff with LFM bop is probably fine but may be hard to use on the stock BOP.
i would say other than the major view change the aston martin V8 is probably going to be a really nice less stressful car to drive good over curbs and bumps very good with LFM bop decent with stock bop fast on the straights good mid speed cornering pretty easy to drive in general could be good to check out you probably would want to use a custom view as its very different in a front engine car compared to the 488.
anyways mclaren 720 evo is good but pretty boped on LFM bop dont really see them in the top as often anymore with the LFM bop still fast/good but with stock bop still very fast good overall in either case
anyways it just makes it tough now days with multiple bop that are changing pretty much the newest year version of most of the cars is doing pretty well sadly you dont have access to all the newest versions so i would just pick from the ones you do have access too m4 720evo
anyways i just would use w/e you like maybe drive the 720evo for a few days and compare if its worth it to change over or not everyone is different the reason i say use the 720 evo is because its the newest gt3 to the game so that will give you the clearest answer if the new car is better or not use it for a week then go back to the 488 and see if you prefer it or not.
