Nice finally you got it working 😀 glad to earn.
For settings : in game set maximum with AA to temporal and active TAA.
Do not active DLSS or FSR because the images will look a lot blurry and you do not need with a 4090. Set the resolution to 100% and VR density to 200%.
Then in OpenXR overlay only activate Upscaling/Sharpening to CAS, and set sharpened to 100%, this will render a clearer images. You can also activate the fps monitor and set the fps target, this is just to verify that you get the target fps.
In Oculus app set the maximum resolution with needed refresh rate. Try first at 72. If you game run smoothly to this value you can try 90.
Then end, if you have a troubles to keep the target fps, you can adjust the vertical fov in oculus debug tool. Like setting to 0.7, this will render 70% of the height of the resolution and will increase the performance quite a lot.
I can push all games settings to maximum excepted Shadow set to high and game resolution to 90%. VR density still push to 200%.
I run Oculus app with max resolution @ 72hz.
Oculus debug I set bitrate to 900, encode resolution to 4128 and sharpening to quality.
Then to get permanent 72FPS I must set a FoV multiplier : H = 0.92 and V = 0.35.
Keep in mind that this is for Quest 3, with a Quest 2 you mayby can push less fox like v to 0.5. You need to try. Reducing game resolution will help a lot if needed but behind 80% start too blurry for me.
I will now tried some settings to get 90fps...
Aye, agreed. Its very very smooth. I have the Oculus Rift S and i reckon ACC
is the best performing sim racing game i have that works with VR.
and indeed I am genuinely 2 or 3 tenths faster in VR over the flat screen.
So smooth. nailing apexes.
it's a delight.
oke thanks i will try these settings and nice that you also have a 4090
For openxr only CAS with 100% sharpness is important. This is just to improve the images quality.
Then yes in game sharpening set to 300.
If I found time I will maybe create a video to explain the whole settings and show the results in to the lenses.
