VR is superb !! Has something changed ?

I could be wrong here but has the developer updated the VR side of ACC ? I bought the GT2 DLC and last night fired up my Metaquest 3 to give the new DLC a try , didn't mess with any settings, chose a track and the GT2 Ferrari and flipping heck !! I was blown away by the clarity and smoothness of the race!!
The last time I tried this game in VR it was awful, lots of messing with settings to get it looking anywhere near this good.
I'm not complaining, one very happy customer here !!

Maybe it's a DLC thing, I have default game and it looks awful on Meta Quest 3

I played it in VR just before Christmas and it didn't look very good compared to other racing games in VR. I did admittedly have HDR on in windows, turned that off and it made a difference.
Playing the new GT2 DLC last night via Virtual Desktop, vr settings in-game set to high and nothing changed in the MQ3 headset or steamvr, it just ran and looked really good.

Hi remcob, I connected to my pc wirelessly with virtual desktop, steam vr on, default settings , game vr settings to high, no tweaking or messing around at all, it just plays and looks really good. I have a RTX 4070 , intel core i5 9600 cpu and 32gb ddr400 ram, so not the highest spec pc.

For me only using OpenXR with CAS filter set with 100% sharpeness and in game settings VR density to 200% give me a cristal clear images. Only the combination of both give a good result. I tried a lot of parameters (steamVr, VD, game engine.ini without great success). In game settings set to ULTRA.

Using the game by default is not clear enough from my point of view.

I use a Quest 3 with cable link bitrate set to 900Mbps, encode resolution to 4128 and FOV horizontal to 0.9 and vertical 0.4 because I have only a RTX 4800.

I think it is, I immediately , out loud, went, WHOAAAA !!! this is greattt, what have they done, i wasnt expecting that !! A quick go before going to bed turned into a 30 minute session I was that impressed !!

I had the same experience, I've had this game since it was launched and have never had a smooth or even good looking VR experience. I re-downloaded it the other day and now it runs fantastic in VR.

please can some one tell me how i can use openxr toolkit with acc i have a quest 3 en use link cable and i load the game from steam in oculus mode i do not get it to work and do not understand is what i do wrong

Follow what i tell you.
You must not start the game by choosing Oculus mode but you must start the game choosing steamvr mode!!! Opencompiste replace SteamVR by OpenXR ! Then do not start with Oculus option.

Just start your cable link on your quest, show the desktop. Start ACC and choose SteamVR mode.
