fps drops at 8pm
Ah, who else is losing their fps by training at 8 p.m. in Red Bull Ring??? The fps drop is terrible apart from that at all times it looks like a gray blanket as if the time does not matter, there is like an excess of lighting

me ! generally in golden hour , when the sun goes down i lost fps at many tracks , but redbullring is heavy . so i pause the race and i change profil at graphics , only for this time of day , then i return to base profil .

yea turn off/down volumetric fog and bloom down all the sun rays and extra shadows from the sun going up or down cause a lot more gpu usage

its how it is on every track but is worse if there are things along side the track like buildings and trees that produce more shadows or rays of light/reflections.

maybe its worse at redbull ring i do not know/dont have yet some tracks are pretty bad though and fps always seems a bit all over in general depending on time of day/conditions.

I have a high-end PC, an RTX 4070ti and I have no problems on any other track except Red Bull Ring and only at 8pm on all tracks I have plenty of fps and I run next to my monitor at 144 without problems, I even go down to 1080p and the The drop in fps is still gross, something is definitely not quite right, another thing that catches my attention is that gray blanket of reflection as much brightness even running at night like fog or dust in the air

one thing is they said that you may have to reset your video settings after a major update if you read the patch notes maybe something is not working right.

maybe just take a screenshot of your current settings then pick a new default high or ultra or w/e and put your settings back to what they were.

if you uncap your fps and look at other tracks i promise it is going up and down like crazy maybe just not getting lower than 144hz especially if the sun is rising or setting.

i have a rx6800 and play at 4k so idk how it would work on 1440p but i want to say i was peaking about 200 fps but still dipping down to 150 at times at 1440p.

on 4k im around 100-120 with mostly ultra/high settings and volumetric fog turned down and bloom turned down also mirrors maybe turned down a bit.

again i do not have that track yet so it could be a bug but 30-40 fps drops at times is normal for ACC depending on conditions and cars on the track. keep in mind this is when you unlock the frame rate.

if you really think it is a bug you should report it to the official kunos forum they do not really look here much or there might already be a thread/post about it over there im sure the more people that would chime in the more chance of getting it checked out.
