Assetto Corsa Competizione

Base Game
Very tempted to grab me a copy but is it worth it without the DLC and will I still be able to compete online etc? £50 for a few tracks and extra cars is a bit steep in my mind. Really do miss the old days when you just bought one version of a game and got everything.

Yes you can still compete online (on those tracks that you own). Some newer cars were also released for free.

yea the bmw m4 gt3 and mclaren evo 2 were both released free and both are top cars if your competitive aston martin V8 is good too i think that comes with the base game they also made some updates to the lexus and the nissan on this update so they might be a little better.

but yea idk you can still have fun i think the more popular tracks are pretty much base game tracks

you pretty much would never need the GT4 pack and probably not the gt2 unless you really like the red bull ring track or gt2 cars lol.

i pretty much only drive the included free cars just what i ended up liking so i personally would only buy the dlc packs for the tracks.

Yeah, as others are saying, a good number of online races use base content only. Hopefully you get the bug and buy some of the DLC so you can race Laguna Seca, Valencia, Mount Panorama, etc!

Most lobby's are only spa and monza. So there will be no issue playing when playing public servers. However If you want to go a bit more serious and do lfm than you do need the track dlc's. But when that time comes you probably have already decided if you liked the game or not and got the dlc's anyway at the next sale if you liked it:)

I am pretty sure if you own the game it opens up the discount bundle for you to get the DLCs.
I got the GT2 DLC with 10% off ND all the others are at 50% off. I have all the others already.

This is the link I used.

Most played tracks online are Monza and Spa, then Brands Hatch and Nurburgring, everything else is sort of luck and some tracks are rare, like Paul Ricard and Zandvort.
If anything you have the McLaren 720 that is new car and meta but there are lots of other cars.

Guys!!!!!! i know I am one of the very few that plays single player but can someone pass this message on to the right people...

How can there be an Endurance championship without the #88 & the #777 mercedes or the #11 audi !!!! Ive tried everything to get these cars to show up in the driver lineup. These are top 5 drivers of the endurance series and they are NOT included in a grid size of 30 cars???

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE anyone out there, this would go along way to at least make the championship look somewhat like we see on TV... I know its an online game i totally get that but the offline championship is just not worth playing without those drivers included ya know

ACC frequently goes on sale, I've got all the DLCs except the very new GT2 cars, and I think I got them all for the equivalent of £30 (I got the base game for £9 equivalent).

That's enough to have fun. Getting the DLC will depend where you want to race/what local MP servers are running, which is out of Kunos' control. Ultimately you could pay to run your own non-DLC server and hope people join.

Honestly this game is incredibly good with the standalone content. The DLC isn't free for them to make, so why should they give DLCs away for free? When on sale they're worth it.
